Is this FAA-certified aircraft equipment?
No. PreFlight Guard is a pilot reminder and organization aid, not FAA-certified aircraft equipment unless otherwise stated. It does not replace any required preflight checklist or pilot-in-command responsibility.
Does it replace my preflight checklist?
No. PreFlight Guard supplements your preflight routine — it does not replace it. Always perform a complete preflight inspection per your aircraft's POH and applicable regulations.
Is payment collected today when I reserve?
No. This is a reservation only. No payment is collected today. We will contact you within 24–48 hours to confirm your reservation and will collect payment only when production opens.
What aircraft is it compatible with?
PreFlight Guard is designed for General Aviation aircraft. The fit of RBF covers depends on your aircraft type. Final cover sizes and compatibility will be confirmed with each order.
What is the difference between Pro and Premium?
The Pro Kit is compact (14"×8"×6", ~820–900g) with a 10,000 mAh built-in power bank and durable nylon/EVA hard case. The Premium Kit is larger (18"×10"×8", ~1.5–2.0 kg) with a 20,000 mAh power bank, professional 1000D Cordura duffle, a bag-powered digital thermometer, and an analog magnetic compass mounted on the bag exterior.
How does item detection work?
6 reed switch sensors — one per RBF slot. Each RBF item contains an embedded magnet that activates the slot sensor when stored. When an item is placed in its correct slot, the magnet closes the reed switch and marks the item present. When removed, that slot reports missing.
What happens if an item is missing?
The Smart Key Fob immediately shows the missing item name on the OLED display, the red LED activates, and an audible alarm triggers after a 60-second grace period if the item is not returned to its slot.
Can I personalize my kit with my tail number?
Yes. Each kit includes a laser-engraved tail number on the bag exterior (optional). Simply enter your N-number in the reservation form during pre-order. Engraving is included at no extra charge for early pre-order reservations.
Does the headlamp charge inside the bag?
Yes. The removable headlamp docks inside the Smart Bag and charges from the built-in power bank. Remove it for use; replace it when done to keep it charged and ready.
Are there fleet or bulk order options for flight schools and FBOs?
